Since I've noticed there might be some unknown words/terms here, here is a list of
often used terms in the Star Wars fandom:
/ : Stands for two persons being romantically involved.
Anahiri: Anakin
(Solo)/Tahiri.
Angst: Emotional pain. (Note: Angst is the German word for fear.)
A/N: Author's Note
ANH:
Short for A New Hope, Episode IV of the SW movies.
AOTC: Attack of the Clones, Episode II
AU: Alternative
Universe. It means that the story is contrary to the Star Wars world in the movies and the novels. Some stories also get AU
after they were written because of a new published book.
An example of a AU story: Leia is raised on Tatooine by Owen and
Beru.
Beta: Someone who reads over a story before it is published. Can be very helpful with grammar and spelling
mistakes, as well as finding plot holes in the story.
Canon character: A character created by George Lucas or authorized
by Lucasfilm.
Example: Luke and Leia.
Challenge: A set of rules for a fan fic amoung a group of writers. It
is often the result for a flood of short fanfics, some of them with similar ideas.
Crossover: Another fandom and
the Star Wars fandom mixed.
Example: The Enterprise from Star Trek fights against the Death Star.
CT:
Classic Trilogie. Referes to the Episodes IV to VI. Same as OT.
Disclaimer: A copyright notice attached at the beginning
of a fanfic, acknowledging the real owners of the universe or characters and no financial gain is intended.
ESB:
The Empire Strikes Back, Episode V.
EU: Expanded Unsiverse: Means the books, games and comics which continue the
story. In fanfictions it means that the story NOT set in the same time period as the movies.
Fandom: A collective
term used to describe all fans and their activities.
Fanfic. Short for Fan Fiction or fanfiction. Sometimes also
refered to as simply fic. Unauthorized, not-for-profit fiction about copyrighted characters or the use of original characters
in a copyrighted universe. Fanfic can be in the form of vignettes, short stories, novels, scripts, or poetry.
Genre:
A type of story, ie. romance, adventure, angst, humor, vignette etc.
H/L: Han/Leia.
Humor: Lots of
humour.
JA: Short for the Jedi Apprentice books about young Obi-Wan's Jedi Training under his master, Qui-Gon Jinn.
Janen:
Jacen/Nen Yim. Founder: Vongchild
Jacella: Jacen/Jysella (Corran Horn's daughter)
Jedi Code: Rules
every Jedi follows (or should).
Usually it is: "There is no emotion; there is peace. There is no ignorance; there is knowledge.
There is no passion; there is serenity. There is no chaos; there is harmony. There is no death; there is the Force."
J/J:
Jaina/Jag
JQ: The Jedi Quest books, about Anakin Skywalker's time as a padawan.
J/TK: :Jacen/Tenel
Ka
K/J: Jaina/Kyp
Living Force: The Living Force is what allows Jedi to be sensitive to other living beings,
to be intuitive and read other people's minds.
L/M: Luke/Mara.
NJO: The New Jedi Order books.
Obidala:
Obi-Wan and Padme Amidala are romantically involved.
OC: Original character. A character created by the fanfic author,
usually interacts with more well-known characters.
OT: see: CT
Plot bunny: The idea for the story.
PT/Prequels:
Means the Episodes I to III.
ROTJ: Return of the Jedi, Episode VI.
ROTS: Revenge of the Sith, Episode
III.
Sabewan: Obi-Wan and Padme's decoy Sabe are romantically involved.
Shipper: A person who believes
into the romantic relationship between to characters.
For example: I am a Jaina/Kyp shipper, although it is obvious through
the books that she loves Jag.
Songfic: A story inspired by and based on a song.
Spoiler: Info that reveals
important parts of a story that someone who hasn't read/seen the movie/book yet doesn't know. Often marked as spoiler and
often highlighted. (means that it is written in black on black, f.e.)
TPM: The Phantom Menance, Episode I.
Unifying
Force: The cosmic part of the Force, which allows a force-sensitive person to see the future and find his/her destiny.
Vignette:
A one post story.
There are several other abbreviations, but they are mainly referring to the titles
of Star Wars books. With that knowlegde, it is often easy to guess them.

Genre: romance, angst
Chracters: Jaina, Jag, Luke, Jacen, Anakin(Solo), the Fel family, some OCs.
At first it must be said, that Leia and Han are not like they are in the canon and the author has nothing against them. But
all other characters should be like they are in the canon.
Summary: Jaina is 16, her uncle Luke is the primary caregiver of her and her brothers. Leia, her mother, is the chief
of state, so she spends not much time with her daughter and so does her husband. They don't even live with their children.
The New Republic and the Chiss had been in a cold war for several years. Only a utterly binding promise from each side could
end the war.
